Lexus LFA
Lexus LFA | A Super Car
This is the super car from Japan , the LEXUS LFA . It took Toyota engineers 10 years to come out with this LFA and Lexus will only build 500 of these world wide . LFA is hand-assembled at the Motomachi plant in Toyota City . It is to demonstrate that Lexus is able to produce super cars in production .
This rear wheel drive LFA is powered by a 552bhp , 4.8 litre V10 engine . Instead of using aluminium to ensure that weight is kept to a minimum , the car engineers resorted to using reinforced carbon fibre polymer instead for it main chasis and body work . 65% of the car is with this carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) with the balance 35% with aluminium alloy . The CFRP reduces as much as 100kg of the total weight of the Lexus LFA . CFRP being 4 times the strength of alumimium provides the stiffness and strength and yet the weight required of the super car . In fact the Lexus LFA kerb (Curb) weight is just slightly below 1500kg with a power-to-weight of 373bph per tonne
Beneath the bonnet is the V10 , 4.8 litre , 552 bhp engine . Built specially compact and light weight , it is even smaller than a conventional V6 . The engine produces torque of 480Nm at 6800 rpm , propelling the car from idling to 100km/hr in just 3.7s with speeds over 300km/hr .

Lexus LFA | Lexus LFA exceed 200MPH mark
This is just a simply stunning Lexus LFA. A £350,000 supercar that can easily exceed the 200 mph mark ! This particular model is finished in a beautiful Blue colour which I think suits the LFA really well, especially with those red brake calipers. This LFA was sadly, only in Glasgow for 2 days (4th/5th of September) and is now on its way home. The only one in the United Kingdom as well ! In this video I show you the car starting up and followed by insane 7,500 rpm revs. I hope you enjoy the sound of the magnificent V10 Lexus engine with its beautiful exhaust note tuned by Yamaha Accoustics.
Thanks for watching,
- Mike
